Asset Development Manager

Background:
This San Francisco-based firm owns and operates energy efficiency and renewable energy projects nationwide.

Position Overview:
The Asset Development Manager is responsible for developing technical packages to support Business Development focused on distributed generation photovoltaic systems. This position will be responsible to establish initial design criteria and set customer expectations. This position will be responsible for site visits and technical liaison with customers during the development phase.

This person will be expected to travel to sites throughout the United States regularly. The role will also work to assist in the development of large utility scale photovoltaic plants as needed. The Asset Development Manager will work closely with Asset Management team to develop standardized design criteria, engineering practices, and construction methods to ensure ease of operability. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and be able to work in a fast pace environment.

This position is in the Asset Management group and will report to the Director of Asset Development.

Responsibilities:
This individual is responsible for the following tasks:
•    Create and standardize site assessment review to identify strategies and risk associated with design, construction and operations for photovoltaic systems.
•    Understand design requirements for multiple regions and for different equipment used in various regions across the country.
•    Integrate standardized designs with existing design tools flexibility to updating design tools and templates.
•    Work with the customers engineers to discuss designs and meet specific needs.
•    Coordinate timely completion and delivery of initial design packages.

Qualifications:
Required Experience
•    3-6 years of relevant experience
•    Bachelor of Science degree in technical field or equivalent experience
•    Knowledge of photovoltaic systems design, construction, and operations
•    Experience working in the field and coordinating with outside customers.
•    Willingness to travel (up to 50% of time)
Preferred Experience
•    Technical Sales Experience
•    Experience in design of commercial scale photovoltaic systems.
•    Strong knowledge of construction of photovoltaic system design

Compensation:
Competitive salary and benefits commensurate with experience. The position will be located in the organization's San Francisco office, with some travel required.
