Director of Communications (Atlanta, GA / Immediate)

Position Overview:
The Director of Communications is responsible for the overall global development, management and daily administration of all marketing and communication programs within Interface.  This position will report to the Assistant Vice President of Sustainability.

Essential Responsibilities:
•    Develop and manage corporate marketing, communication and public relations programs from a global perspective  (ie; PR strategy, media relations, investor relations)
•    Serve as a strategic advisor to the senior management team and the Interface business units on matters of company positioning, branding and communications.
•    Manage investor relations, reporting and surveys regarding corporate performance.
•    Develop, implement and oversee the content of the Interface websites (including: interfaceglobal.com, sustainability.com, interfaceraise.com, and missionzero.com), as well as of internal communication strategies and campaigns.
•    Promote internal communications regarding sustainability and accomplishments globally.
•    Oversee corporate marketing and communication budgets.
•    Act as the company liaison (interact and maintain relationships) to organizations in the community, government and cause-related entities wherever applicable.
•    Work with key executives for media training, events, speech writing, and trade presentations on an as needed basis.

Skills and Qualifications:
The candidate must be able to build internal and external relationships, be an effective communicator, and become a valuable resource for all business units.  The candidate should be a strategic and creative thinker, as well as proactive and professional.  

•    Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Advertising, Communications, or related field.
•    5-7 years of experience in communications and public relations.
•    Excellent writing, analytic and presentation skills.
•    Excellent computer skills (MS Office, Photoshop, Adobe Pagemaker, Lotus SmartSuite,) and graphic design capabilities.
•    Knowledge of html is preferred.
